Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps people improve functioning in their areas of injury, illness, and/or disability. This can have positive implications for individuals' participation at school, work, social situations, community, family, and day-to-day tasks.

Our occupational therapist can help with conducting evaluations and therapy to better determine individuals' strengths and challenges. This might be inclusive of sensory-related issues, fine motor problems (poor handwriting), sensori-motor deficits, visual-spatial difficulties, among others. Our OTs may also incorporate mindful practices and other evidence-based techniques.

We provide specialized occupational therapy services that focus on improving foundational skills required for age-appropriate function and participation in daily life.  We take a comprehensive approach to each child/adult we treat as we know all areas of development are connected. Our clients have a variety diagnoses (Autism, ADHD, ODD, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, EBD, SPD, Trauma, Cognitive/Developmental delay, etc) and we strive to provide client centered care with education to both the client and family. Our team has additional training and education to provide the following specific sensory based programming: Therapeutic Listening, Pressure Brushing, Astronaut Training, Sensory Diets, Feeding/Picky Eating and Transition Planning.  Additionally, our entire OT staff are certified in Interactive Metronome Program to target coordination, processing and executive function delays commonly observed in a variety of diagnoses.
